A Warm Mendip Welcome to Fernhill Farm!

Come and meet our friendly team up high on the Mendip Hills. We are a traditional livestock farm offering a unique venue for  green holidays, weekend breaks and ideal for groups and families, offering alternative and flexible accommodation for all. Set in 160 acres of species rich natural grasslands, woodlands, farm buildings, garden and orchard on top of the breath taking Mendip Hills, the farm is an ideal base for walking, cycling, climbing, and exploring locally, or a wonderful place for just chilling out. We are conveniently close to local attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and Ebbor Gorge, and public transport is easy.

We breed our own pedigree Saddleback Pigs, Aberdeen Angus Beef Cattle, Shetland and Texel Sheep, and Indian Game Chickens ~ producing meat for farm shops, guests, and for creating meals served on the farm with Zero food miles.

Our Eco-Camping Barns are unique, converted from old cow sheds in 2008 and today providing 32 beds with conference facilities, fully equipped kitchen and dining rooms, plenty of parking space and outside seating areas under big skies.

Our team offer wool and willow workshops, sheep shearing courses, animal and horticultural therapy, team challenges, educational Eco-Farm tours with information on the farms history, future farming practices and management of resources
